I wanted the image to feel like a scene from a story we have only just entered. The candle became the visual anchor, drawing attention to the face while creating a natural interplay between light and shadow. I kept the palette deep and warm, allowing the reds, skin tones, and flame to carry the emotion while the surrounding darkness leaves room for interpretation.
